Supervision

I am a fully qualified, COSCA accredited supervisor and offer holistic, in-depth supervision to qualified counsellors and counselling students who wish to reflect on their practice in a safe, compassionate space.

My approach is integrative, drawing on psycho-dynamic theory and person centered perspectives. I also have a special interest in working with the soul, incorporating spiritual psychology and mindfulness as well as IFS and compassionate inquiry (as taught by Dr Gabor Mate) to inform a holistic practice.

As a supervisor I am committed to offering a safe, non-judgmental environment, striking a balance between being supportive and challenging, to help you reflect and grow in your practice. I take a holistic approach to therapy as well as supervision and I see the supervision relationship as a space for you to reflect on all aspects of yourself and your life as a whole, as it all impacts on each other. I have established a very successful private practice and am happy to offer advice and support to anyone who is already in or thinking about setting up a private practice of their own. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

GROUP SUPERVISION

Being a therapist is rewarding work and it can also be lonely and isolating. It is sometimes difficult to prioritise ourselves and our own wellbeing. This supervision group takes a holistic approach and focuses on offering and receiving support in every area, such as with client work, practical support in private practice, work life balance and all our own stuff that affects how we show up in the world.

We are not just therapists, we are humans and this group welcomes all parts of ourselves to be shared in order to grow personally as well as professionally. Bringing together individuals from different training backgrounds and experience offers us a world of collective wisdom to draw on as we collaborate and learn from each other. This is a safe space to share thoughts and ideas as well as areas of growth or struggle, so that we are not alone as we go through the ups and downs of life as a therapist.

If you are interested in joining us (online or in person in Edinburgh), please contact me.
